 Local Scholarships

  • Rayle Emc Scholarship-Students applying for this scholarship must live in a house that receives electric service from Rayle EMC.
  • Beta Sigma Phi Memorial Scholarship - This is an annual Medical Scholarhsip. Given in memory of Ann Kortrey and Marty Blackmon.
  • Washington Rotary Club Scholarship - Designed to help a graduating senior get started and further his or her education at a post secondary institution.
  • Kiwanis Club Scholarship - Scholarships granted to further the educations of those youth who demonstate civic and moral excellence in the community.
  • William Davis McCarty Memorial Scholarship -  Student must demonstrate determination, perseverence, and positive attitude towards continuance of education goals.
  • Kettle Creek Rifle & Pistol Club - Scholarship granted to WWCHS senior who has  already been accepted to a college or university. Aslo available to seniors whose parents are members of Kettle Creek Rifle & Pistol Club. 
  • Smyrna United Methodist Church - Student does not have to be a member of the church. 
  • Optimist Club Friend of Youth - To recognize and assist deserving and outstanding Wilkes County students who are pursuing a higher education.
  • Delta Kappa Gamma-Gamma Tau - To recognize a female student who plans to major in education.
  • Delta Kappa Gamma Society Internattional Gamma Tau Chaper
  • Elbert County Gun Club -  (1) Scholarship awarded to a child or grandchild of a club member (2) Scholarship awarded to a resident of Elbert, Franklin, Hart, Madison, Oglethorpe, or Wilkes counties.
  • LWREA -  Scholarship awared to a student who plans to attend a college or vocational school for the upcoming academic year.
  • John Duggan Memorial Scholarship -  The Woman's Club awards a scholarship to a deserving graduating senior in honor of John Rochford Duggan.
  • Washington-Wilkes Scholarship - To provide financial assistance for higher education to students of Wilkes County who have demonstrated strong personal character and academic potential, and who qualify for financial need.
  • North Wilkes Steering Committee - Offering a scholarship to two high school seniors from the Tignall/North Wilkes area who plan to enter college or a technical school for Fall 2016.
  • Charles J. Wurst, Jr. Leadership Scholarship - To recognize and assist deserving and outstanding high school students who are pursuing a higher education.
  • Mitchell Willingham 4-H Scholarship- Scholarship awarded to an active graduating 4-H senior.
